Antiemetic drugs in the treatment of headaches and migraines – effectiveness

Antiemetic drugs have a good additional effect in the treatment of headaches accompanied by nausea and vomiting. Antiemetics are more effective in combination with analgesics and other drugs to relieve headaches.

Monotherapy often provides only a short-term improvement. The literature speaks about the effectiveness of some antiemetic drugs in relieving attacks of recurrent headaches. As an additional therapy, EFNO recommends metoclopramide and domperidone.
