Ecstatic and orgiastic, visionary and dissolving experiences of all kinds of boundaries – the main secret of the mushroom religion – and those factors that preserved the human principle in our ancestors. The sense of community caused by the mushrooms preserved the community. The divine, inspiring power of the mushroom was expressed through bards and singers. The movable spirit in the mushroom was the hand of the bone carver and the artist painting the stone. Such things were common in the Eden world of the Goddess. Life did not go the way we usually imagined, on the verge of dull bestiality, but rather took place in the field of spontaneous magical and linguistic expression, which today arises in us only with brief glimpses at the culminating moments of experimental intoxication, and then it was an authoritative and comprehensive reality: the presence of the Great Goddess.
