History history of a headache patient
The stages of the diagnosis of headaches:
• collection of anamnesis;
• physical examination;
• special examination.
When diagnosing the majority of pathological conditions, only careful collection of anamnesis can detect the causes of headaches and determine the tactics of the most effective treatment.
Additional examination may reveal accidental findings, despite the fact that an objective examination and special diagnostic methods fully confirm or refute the preliminary diagnoses made on the basis of a thorough history taking.
History history of a headache patient
Patients who complain of a headache or a change in the nature of the headache should be asked not only about the nature of the headache, but also about the general state of health. It is necessary to ask additional questions to clarify the preliminary diagnosis, determine indications for additional methods of research.
In all cases, it is necessary to identify how many different types of headaches a patient has.
If there is more than one type of headache, it is necessary to ask about the most and least intense pains separately. Quite often in patients complaining of more than two types of headaches, in fact there is only one or two that have different intensity.
